Ever since I was young, I struggled to read due to my dyslexia, large walls of texts blended together incomprehensibly. I found comfort then, in picture books, comics, and graphic novels. I am a storyteller at heart and I finally had a way to tell them. As a kid I would draw my friends and I as superheros and villains in my own comics. I am in the process of making my own, I want to make my inner child proud.
“Comics are stories; they're like novels or anything else. So the first thing you have to do is become a good storyteller”
-Stan Lee

I drew this lone cowboy while traveling by train from Chicago to Los Angeles. I was inspired by endless planes and rolling mountains that pulled me in to fantasies of those who explored new frontiers.

A white jackalope runs from danger, it is hurt, rare, and few believe in it, but still it runs.

A self portrait of longing

I prefer to travel by train, this painting was inspired by some of the friends and couples I've seen while traveling.

A figure struggling with themselves, I made this to explore what if feels like to not feel at home in your body

I hope to make this sketch into a larger piece, an oil painting that explores that line between the masculine and feminine.

When we are lost and alone, it feels impossible to connect to so much as ourselves. Everything feels disjointed and we become Alice in the wonderland of self.

Gentle intimacy is often something queer people experience quietly and privately

A study in a limited pallet featuring Gerard Way, one of my favorite comic book authors.
